Creamed carrots

Total Time: 6 mins
  1. 1 Peel and slice carrots.
  2. 2 Cook, covered, in a small amount of water over medium heat until tender. Drain.
  3. 3 In a medium size skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat.
  4. 4 Sauté onions in butter until tender.
  5. 5 Stir in flour, salt, pepper and sugar; cook for 1 minute.
  6. 6 Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and starts to boil.
  7. 7 Pour over cooked carrots and stir to coat.
  8. Enjoy
